Dr. Sandra Murphy has been a Director of Neuroscience with NIQ BASES for over 4 years, leading neuroscience work with many of their biggest clients. Before coming to industry, Dr. Murphy’s work on multi-sensory attention was widely reported and helped motivate further work on the importance of haptics in user interface. Her PhD in experimental psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London, focused on auditory selective attention and subsequent post-doctoral fellowships at University of Birmingham and University of London included research in motivation and reward and working memory and distractibility using multiple methods.
