Professor Vinod Venkatraman (Temple University) will present some of the latest academic research in the area of Neuroforecasting. Across three independent studies from various labs, he will demonstrate how activation in the ventral striatum predicts market-level outcomes in the domain of advertising effectiveness, crowd funding, and microlending respectively. He will discuss some key insights into why activation in this region may predict population-level outcomes. Finally, he will discuss some implications of these findings for practitioners, particularly in the context of dual systems frameworks.
