Rich is Managing Director of the Global Science Organization and the Global Head of Data Science and AI for Ipsos. The GSO leads scientific R&D and innovation in Psychological Sciences (including Neuroscience, Behavioral Science, and Applied Psychology) and Data Science and AI. Through its Laboratories in these fields, the GSO partners extensively with academics and clients on original research. He has been with Ipsos for 12 years and prior to that held leadership positions on the client side in research, workforce, marketing, and business strategy roles. Before joining the corporate world, he served on the university faculties at The Ohio State University and Stony Brook University focusing on doctoral level teaching and research in advanced statistics and computational modeling in the social and behavioral sciences. He has published and presented extensively in research methods including AI, Machine Learning, computational modeling, advanced statistics, Bayesian Networks and Big Analytics, as well as in understanding and influencing the drivers of behavioral change, and issues of ethics and fairness in data, analytics, and AI.
