Marketing Research Professor
Ale Smidts is a professor of Marketing Research at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and one of the pioneers in neuromarketing.
With his team he has published broadly on topics such as the neural processes underlying peer group influence, the neural profiling of brands and the neural engagement of ads. In their research they apply both EEG and fMRI. They collaborate with neuromarketing company Alpha.One on the practical implications of their research.
Their MSc course on neuromarketing for marketing students has been a success for many years. Ale was involved in the NMSBA from the beginning and has also served as a member of the Board.
