Development of a real-time emotion estimation application using EEG and its implications in the cosmetic industry

Emotion plays an important role in the cosmetics industry. Consumers evaluate and use products with their senses, including olfaction (fragrance), touch (texture), and sight and sound (packaging and advertisement). The momentary emotions felt during these experiences have implications for product satisfaction and purchasing decision. The demand for emotional experiences has increased over time, especially among young consumers.

A growing majority of products are promoting their emotional benefits. Gusang Kwon's objective is to help the audience understand consumer neuroscience research trends in the cosmetic industry.
